Scripture speaks of the human being as spirit, soul and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23). Starting from that complete view of the person, this faculty studies how the workings of the brain relate to emotional and spiritual life.
Counselors, ministers and health professionals receive clinical and pastoral training here in a single program. They study psychopathology, the effects of trauma on the nervous system and crisis intervention, with tools backed by scientific research and with their trust placed in the Gospel's power to heal.
The Master's level adds neurotheology, which helps students care more wisely for wounded people in whom the image of God is still present.
